Zenna was adopted Wednesday, October 30, 2024!
Meet Zenna! This sweet girl was approximately four years old when we rescued her and her roommate, Zinger, from Devore Shelter in March 2023. Sadly, their owner was a casualty of the unusual blizzard that hit areas of San Bernardino hard in winter. Both were surrendered to the shelter when no one else offered to take them in. We, however, welcomed them into our foster care program in April. While they are comfortable with one another, their foster family hasn’t observed they share a tight and bonded relationship.
Zenna is a petite girl with big eyes and a bursting and boundless personality. She loves to explore her surroundings and always wants to be near the action. Going into another room? Zenna wants to go, too. Brushing your teeth? Zenna will supervise from the bathroom countertop. She adores playing with just about any toy- whether a wand, a ball, or something filled with catnip – she’ll chase all of them around the house. She will allow humans to pick her up, but cuddles have a time limit. She’ll transform into a wiggle worm if you try to contain her for too long. But she is a big fan of head and chin scratches, voicing her approval with adorable small-kitty meows. Sometimes she will nuzzle under her foster dad’s chin while he’s sitting on the couch, make biscuits on his chest, and fall asleep.
Old man Zinger would be a good addition if you’re seeking a pair to adopt. Zenna gets along with all of her kitty roommates, from the curmudgeonly old-timer to the rambunctious youngster. With her level of energy, she’d thrive in a home with another cat. Her foster home does not have dogs or young children, so it’s unknown how she would act around them.
