I understand each individual situation will vary and the terms of each situation will remain confidential between the Kitty Devore Rescue Adoption Event Officer and Manager, the Kitty Devore Board of Officers and the individual Kitty Devore Rescue volunteer.* I understand I don't understand I understand I may not publicly or privately solicit other Kitty Devore Rescue volunteers or members, Petco staff or Petco customers for money to purchase personal items or request personal financial assistance. Should an occurrence of this nature with supportive proof reach the attention of a Kitty Devore Rescue Board member, the member who has solicited funding for personal reasons will be contacted and warned. The second occurrence will result in dismissal from the volunteer team and volunteer tenure will be terminated.* I understand I don't understand I understand that if I volunteer to work at an adoption event headed by a Kitty Devore Rescue administrator, Board member, or Adoption Event Officer or Manager, I will defer to their authority and directives as they pertain to adoption event conduct, procedure and policy.* I understand I don't understand I understand if I have an interest in fostering, I must complete and submit the Kitty Devore Rescue Foster Application and Agreement before I can be considered as a Kitty Devore Rescue foster parent. If I am interested in adopting, I understand that I must complete and submit the Kitty Devore Rescue Adoption Application. Both are subject to approval by a Kitty Devore Rescue foster or adoption officer and a home check will be required before fostering or adopting can take place.* I understand I don't understand Liability Release and Waiver:I understand that the scope of my relationship with Kitty Devore Rescue is limited to a volunteer position and that no compensation is expected in return for services provided by me; that Kitty Devore Rescue will not provide any benefits traditionally associated with employment to me, and that I am responsible for my own insurance coverage in the event of personal injury or illness as a result of my services to Kitty Devore Rescue.* I understand I don't understand I understand it is my responsibility to report any incident involving injury from a cat in attendance at the in-store adoption venue to the Adoption Event Officer within 24 hours of the incident.* I understand I don't understand I release and forever discharge and hold harmless Kitty Devore Rescue from any and all liability, claims, and demands of whatever kind of nature, either in law or in equity, which arise or may hereafter arise from the volunteer services I provide to Kitty Devore Rescue. I release and forever discharge Kitty Devore Rescue from all liability for any causes of action or suits of any kind whatsoever, and particularly on account of any injuries, to person or property sustained while carrying out my voluntary duties, attending adoption events, or performing other services on behalf of, or in conjunction with, Kitty Devore Rescue.* I understand I don't understand I understand and acknowledge that this release discharges Kitty Devore Rescue and each of its administrators, officers, members and agents from any liability or claim that I may have against them with respect to bodily injury, personal injury, illness, death, or property damage that may result from the services I provide to them or occurring while I am providing volunteer services.* I understand I don't understand I understand that Kitty Devore Rescue does not assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide me with financial or other assistance, including but not limited to medical, health, or disability benefits or insurance - other than that which is outlined in this agreement with respect to authorized pullers and transporters. I expressly waive any such claim for compensation or liability on the part of Kitty Devore Rescue beyond what may be offered freely by them in the event of injury or medical expenses incurred by me.* I understand I don't understand I further agree that if, despite this release of liability and hold harmless agreement clause, I or anyone on my behalf makes a claim against Kitty Devore Rescue, I will indemnify, save and hold harmless Kitty Devore Rescue from any damages, losses and expenses including, but not limited to, legal fees, courts costs, and litigation expenses.* I Agree I Do Not Agree I release and forever discharge Kitty Devore Rescue, a nonprofit corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of California and each of its administrators, officers, members and agents from any claim whatsoever which arises or may hereafter arise on account of any first-aid treatment or other medical services rendered in connection with an emergency during my tenure as a volunteer with them.* I understand I don't understand I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kitty Devore Rescue from any and all liability, damage, loss, cost and expense incurred as a result of any claim, demand or cause of action brought against Kitty Devore Rescue, jointly or individually, for bodily injury, death or property damage suffered as a result of my own negligent, reckless or willful act, omission in the performance or failure to perform my volunteer services. I further acknowledge and agree that I: (a) fully understand the meaning of this Release and Waiver clause and recognize my right to seek the advice of an attorney before signing it; (b) have signed it freely and without any inducement or assurance of any nature; (c) intend it to be a complete unconditional release of liability to the greatest extent allowed by law; and (d) agree that if any portion of this agreement is held to be invalid the balance notwithstanding shall continue in full force and effect. The acceptance of this release shall not operate as an admission of liability on the part of anyone, nor as a waiver or bar with respect to any claim that I may have against the undersigned.* I Agree I Do Not Agree As a volunteer, I hereby expressly assume risk of injury or harm while providing volunteer service and release Kitty Devore Rescue from all liability.* I understand I don't understand I grant and convey to Kitty Devore Rescue all right, title, and interests in any and all photographs, images, video, or audio recordings of me or my likeness or voice made by the rescue in connection with my providing volunteer services to them if I choose to post them in the Kitty Devore Rescue Petco Volunteer Crew group forum.* I grant I don't grant As a volunteer, I expressly agree that this release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of California and that this Release shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California.
