Goldfishy was adopted December 23, 2023!
Scared little Goldfishy and his three siblings found themselves admitted to Devore Shelter in early May 2023 when they were only a mere two months old. Fortunately, their sister was lucky–someone adopted her right away. But the remaining kittens caught the nasty shelter URI that circulates through the cat room in summer, and, tragically, one of the remaining three died. Goldfishy and his brother Sunny Dae barely survived. When cats get very sick at the shelter, they’re deemed unadoptable, and their only lifeline is from a rescue. Kitty Devore Rescue was able to grab the two boys before anything else could happen to them. Although it took time, their amazing CA foster mom nursed them both back to health. When they recovered, another member journeyed with them to Washington to deliver them to their long-term foster mom.
Now fully recovered, both revel in their wonderful life in KD foster care, but each yearns for a forever person or family to call his very own. Although Goldfishy acts like the older, more watchful brother most of the time, he fits in lots of playtime, naps, and regular meals. He loves everything about the good life he has now. Unlike most goldfish with two-second attention spans, the ever-alert Goldfishy exhibits never-ending curiosity and a keen awareness of everything and everyone in his midst. Right now, he’s anticipating and on the alert for a forever person or family to call his very own.
