As a 4 month old kitten, Georgette found herself admitted to Devore Shelter back in December of 2014. She was rescued by the Kitty Devore Rescue team December rolled over to January, 2015. She was placed in a wonderful foster home with an amazing foster mom and, within just a few months, Georgette found her forever home.
Sadly, forever was not as long as we anticipated. Her adoptive mom developed sinus polyps due to severe allergies that were only made worse by her beloved kitties, Georgette and Salem. Although every possible option was tried, including surgery, eventually Georgette’s adoptive mom contacted us in Autumn of 2018 in tears. She felt she had no choice but to give her babies up. Salem went back to the rescue he came from and Georgette returned to us. Her new foster mom said Georgette was confused and sad at first. It was clear she loved her former home and family and did not understand why she was in this new place with new people and unfamiliar animals. But gradually, she adjusted and her foster mom feels this lovely tuxie girl is ready to give a forever home a second try.
Georgette craves affection and has so much love to give. She knows her name and comes when you call her. She’ll even respond to you with a cute, squeaky meow. She loves to play with her toys and roll around on the floor in an adorable display of kitty playtime bliss. While she is slow to make friends with other kitties, she does eventually let down her guard and settles in to enjoy their company. As for humans – anyone willing to pet her is a new best friend in her eyes.
If you are looking for the love of your life and a devoted companion who will adore you unconditionally provided you give her the same in return, Georgette is your girl.
Georgette was adopted June 2, 2019!
