Dan was adopted July 5, 2020!
Dan has been let down several times in his young life. While we’re uncertain of what transpired in his first year, it did require he be rescued. He was taken in by a rescue group and thought he’d found stability as he awaited his new forever family … but then the rescue group fell on hard times and had to request the assistance of other rescue groups to take in the cats in their care. By the time Dan found his way to Kitty Devore Rescue in October of 2019 along with 16 other kitties we’d taken along with him, he was 3 years old.
When he arrived at his new foster home, he stayed hidden for several days. Who could blame him? Everything felt unstable, uncertain, and just a llittle bit scary. But, when he finally worked up the courage to take his first tentative steps into the light and love of his new foster home, he lifted his face to receive his first chin scratch – and loved it!
Dan just wants to be loved. He loves to cuddle up to people and bask in the security they provide. He enjoys laying on laps, supervising humans while they cook, or snuggling up with them in bed with a good book. He will grab your hand and place it on his head because he enjoys being petted and scratched so much!
