Meet Avril! This active girl was six months old when she entered Kitty Devore foster care in January 2023.
Avril flutters about like a social butterfly with boundless energy that she channels into playtime, running around and exploring. She consents to be held or placed in a warm lap, but chances are she’ll rouse to action again soon after. Avril loves to follow her foster siblings and uses creativity to turn anything found into a toy. Avril maintains constant busyness during the day, so she’s happy to calm down and curl up with her foster mom for a well-deserved nap at night. This quick study is also learning how to use a cardboard scratcher and responds well to commands to stay off the table.
A kitten with a high energy level like Avril would do well in a home with an equally energetic kitty that can keep up with her. There aren’t any dogs in her foster home, so her affinity for canines has yet to be determined. Her foster mom is also working on teaching her not to play with human hands. For this reason, she may need additional training before being around small children.
